During my recent stay at Pension Union, I found it to be a well-positioned haven in Bled, particularly for those looking to balance comfort and value. Nestled conveniently with a bus stop right out front and just a stone's throw from the lake, it's a practical base for exploring the area. The family-run guesthouse offers spacious rooms with the basics: a mini-fridge, and a comfortable bed, albeit not extraordinarily so. The external private bathroom was well-maintained, and the provision of a bathrobe added a thoughtful touch. The dining experience in the on-site restaurant was solid, with good meals and a pleasant atmosphere, despite breakfast being a bit repetitive. The availability of free Wi-Fi in the rooms made planning my archaeological excursions easier. While the room furnishings may lack luxury flair, the overall experience reflects good value for what you pay, especially with the setting and friendly service. For travelers seeking a no-frills stay without overspending, Pension Union proves to be a sound choice.
